Freelance Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor Role – Nottingham Highways Project – 9-Month Project
Your new company
You will be working for a well-recognised Tier One Contractor within the Civil Engineering industry who work across multiple sectors such as Highways, Energy and Water. Within this role, in particular, you will be working as a Quantity Surveyor on a £10Million Highways scheme within the Nottingham area which is expected to last around 9 months with the potential to be extended.
Your new role
Quantity Surveyor duties include:
- Managing Subcontractor accounts (Risk reduction meetings, change management, CVR's, final accounts)
- Allocate work to subcontractors and oversee their work at all stages of the project
- Day-to-day commercial management whilst supporting the operations of the project, liaising cohesively across the whole team
- Report client change and risk reduction
- Negotiate contracts and work schedules
- Value completed work, oversee bills and arrange payments
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will have proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the Highways and/or Civil Engineering industry and be willing to work on site a minimum of 3 days a week. You will be competent in managing subcontractor accounts and be confident in negotiating contracts with subcontractors.
