Quantity Surveyor - Flexi working and Career Progression

Our client provides essential infrastructure services through long-term framework agreements with the water and wastewater sectors in the UK and Ireland. The Water Division provides a broad range of technical capabilities to our clients, ranging from asset condition assessment to design, build, commissioning and completion.


Your new role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be part of the Commercial Team and will be responsible for carrying out the administration of the commercial and financial aspects of the Capital Delivery Framework in the Thames Valley / London area. The role will involve working closely with the delivery team, delivering both clean and waste infrastructure projects.
As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be carrying out the day-to-day administration of the commercial and financial aspects of projects, through close liaison with the Project Management Team(s). You’ll also prepare cost and value reporting, together with commercial performance reports.
You will be managing procurement including labour, plant, materials, plus liaising with and managing subcontractors. You will also be responsible for demand and VOWD forecasting. This will include cost control and cash collection.


What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for this role would possess a degree/HND or equivalent in Commercial Management/Quantity Surveying or other construction related subject, or substantial previous experience in a similar position? You will need to be a commercially astute individual with the drive to push forward projects while keeping costs down. You will need to be IT literate with advanced skills in Excel and various accounting software. A large part of the job is having initiative and a high attention to detail.
