You will be joining a respected civil engineering contractor with a strong track record of delivering infrastructure and groundworks projects across the UK. The company is known for its collaborative approach, commitment to quality, and long-standing relationships with clients in both the public and private sectors.


Your new role


To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, along with proven experience in a similar role within civil engineering. You should have a strong understanding of standard forms of contract such as NEC or JCT, excellent analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in commercial management software and a full UK driving licence are also essential.

  • Manage commercial and contractual aspects of multiple projects
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cost plans
  • Lead procurement and subcontractor negotiations
  • Conduct valuations and manage applications for payment
  • Administer contracts (NEC, JCT) and ensure compliance
  • Agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors
  • Provide commercial support to site teams
  • Mentor junior quantity surveyors

What you'll need to succeed


To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Proven experience in civil engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts
  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and commercial systems
  • Full UK driving licence
