Senior Quantity Surveyor needed for busy highways main contractor.

Your new role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the Highways Division, you will play a key role in the commercial management of highway maintenance and improvement projects. You will be responsible for cost control, contract administration, and ensuring value for money across all stages of project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing commercial aspects of highways projects from inception to completion
  • Preparing and reviewing cost estimates, valuations, and final accounts
  • Administering NEC contracts and managing subcontractor accounts
  • Identifying and managing risks and opportunities
  • Supporting project teams with commercial advice and reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with company and client procedures

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the highways or civil engineering sector
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts and commercial processes
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. RICS or CIOB) is desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
