A new role for a Quantity Surveyor in Somerset open to full-time or part-time
Hays are supporting a regionally based construction company, who specialise in listed buildings, including building and restoration.
As a result of expanding projects, they require a quantity surveyor to join the team to support the Director with intermediate level duties.
As a QS you will play a crucial role in managing aspects of procurement, invoicing, tenders and bidding.

As a QS you will play a crucial role in managing aspects of procurement, invoicing, tenders and bidding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse costings for tenders.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate cost control.
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs.
- Negotiate contracts and work schedules.
- Monitor and report on project progress, costs, and any variations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, or similar field
- Proven experience as a QS
- Knowledge of construction sites and ideally listed buildings
- Strong communication skills
- Full or part-time for the right candidate
