Job Title: Quality Manager
Location: Sidcup, Kent
Salary: £55-60k
Hours: 8:30am – 5pm M-TH, 8:30am – 2pm Fri

Our client, who is a global leader in manufacturing and supplying laboratory, pharmaceutical, and hospital autoclaves, seeks a Quality Manager to oversee their UK-based manufacturing operations. With over 100 years of experience, they’re committed to delivering high-quality sterilisation equipment that meets the rigorous standards of modern professionals.

Your new role

In this role, you'll oversee quality management systems and ensure compliance with industry standards. This includes adherence to UKAS 17025, ISO 9001, and PED 2014/68/EU.

Quality Manager Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with design personnel to ensure products meet legal and safety standards.
  • Working with the Service Manager to ensure UKAS-accredited services adhere to requirements and processes.
  • Liaising and planning third party approval of products.
  • Communicating quality standard concerns to senior management.
  • Communication of quality and compliance issues with all departments
  • Developing quality control processes.
  • Organising and carrying out internal audits of the compliance programs and management systems of the company.
  • Coordinating and preparing for external audits.
  • Generating quality standards statistics reports.
  • Rejecting products that fail quality standards.
  • Collaborating with customers to collect product feedback.

The role also includes, but is not limited to:

  • Manage infrastructure and services for effective business operations, including IT support, communications, and utilities.
  • Managing a UKAS-accredited laboratory, including Calibration Manager.
  • Overseeing statutory and regulatory compliance with Health and Safety requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in a Quality Assurance management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality assurance procedures, health, and safety
  • Experience with ISO 9001,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
