Your new role

Joining the site’s senior leadership team, you’ll partner with the Plant Manager and Engineering Lead to establish and maintain world-class quality benchmarks. You'll lead initiatives that embed a continuous improvement culture and ensure the plant meets evolving customer expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Defining and delivering robust quality standards aligned with customer and compliance requirements
  • Leading ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 adherence through a maturing QMS
  • Managing customer complaint resolution with critical analysis and accountability
  • Improving product performance and process efficiency through technical expertise
  • Driving transformation and product development alongside Commercial and Technical functions
  • Representing the business to external technical bodies and steering innovation adoption
  • Championing Lean Six Sigma methodology, coaching teams and enhancing data-led decision-making

What you'll need to succeed

You’ll bring a blend of strategic thinking, technical depth, and proven leadership. The ideal candidate would have:
  • A degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related engineering field
  • Extensive experience in technical or quality leadership within heavy industry
  • Strong understanding of IATF 16949 standards and core quality tools
  • Confidence in managing KPIs and leading cross-functional change initiatives
Lean Six Sigma qualifications are preferred but not essential—what matters most is your ability to apply a continuous improvement mindset and influence at all levels.

What you'll get in return

  • Opportunity to lead a key function within a major UK manufacturing site
  • High-impact role with visibility across global markets
  • Engagement in advanced engineering practices and quality frameworks
  • Clear route for career progression within a technically complex and evolving environment
