I am currently working with an organisation who are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Commercial / Finance Administrator to join their Commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious administrator with strong financial and commercial awareness who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.Your new role
- Preparing and submitting accurate monthly interim payment applications through client portals.
- Reviewing reactive works quotations to ensure compliance before submission to clients.
- Assisting with the administration and processing of subcontractor payments.
- Supporting the maintenance and updating of subcontractor records, tracking spreadsheets and commercial documentation.
- Providing general commercial and financial administrative support to the wider team.
- Assisting with the creation, development and continuous improvement of commercial and finance templates.
- Liaising with the Finance Administration Team regarding subcontractor purchase orders, updates and reconciliations.
- Maintaining accurate records of direct labour activities to support cost allocation and revenue forecasting.
- Attending internal and client meetings to provide administrative and commercial support.
- Undertaking additional ad hoc duties as required to support the Commercial Manager, Finance Manager and wider business.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience within an administrative, commercial, finance or accounts support role.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- A professional and collaborative attitude.
What you'll get in return
You will get the opportunity to work within a fast-paced role and will work as part of a small team. The role is initially for 3 months on a temporary basis and may potentially get extended/made permanent depending on performance and business needs. You will work on a hybrid basis and will be paid £16.47-£17.93 per hour depending on experience. There is free parking on site at their premises in Chorley.
