Quality Assurance Manager in Edinburgh - Graduate Role

Your new company

A well‑established main contractor delivering major projects across the UK is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join their team on a large student accommodation development in Edinburgh. This contractor is known for delivering high‑quality, design‑led schemes and offers an excellent environment for someone early in their construction career who wants to develop quickly and gain hands‑on experience within a dynamic site team.

Your new role

As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the project team with documentation control, quality checks, and compliance across this multi‑storey new‑build development. You will be responsible for maintaining quality records, supporting site inspections, tracking defects and close‑out items, and ensuring project documentation is organised and up to date. Working closely with site management and subcontractors, you’ll help ensure the project is delivered to the highest standards and in line with company procedures.

This role provides a strong pathway into site management, quality, or coordination roles for the right person.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A degree in construction, engineering or a related field OR experience working as a Document Controller or similar role within the construction industry
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to engage with site teams and subcontractors
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn
  • Competency with Microsoft Office; experience with document control software is advantageous.
  • An interest in quality management and project processes

What you'll get in return

You will join a respected contractor on a high‑profile project with strong prospects for long‑term career development. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early‑career professional to gain exposure to major project delivery while building specialist experience in quality management. You’ll receive a competitive salary, supportive team environment, and the chance to grow your construction career within a successful and forward‑thinking organisation.
