The Role
Job Responsibilities
A product quality manager is responsible for steering the plants' quality reporting to ensure problems are raised in accordance with the requirements set by the Group.
The role also includes the responsibility for assigning quality issues to the correct problem owners to ensure efficient resolution. A product quality manager is responsible for their allocated portion of the overall problem landscape with the expectation to manage, steer and co-ordinate the landscape in line with the requirements set by the Group and internal processes. Examples of this include, making sure the problem-solving timeline is adhered to, documentation of the problem-solving is adequate and offering problem-solving support when challenges arise.
Requirements
Understanding and experience of the PMP process is beneficial.
Understanding and experience of the PMP process is beneficial.
Understanding & ability to effectively use quality tools, e.g. PQM, FMEA, GWK Tool, Ishikawa, 5 Why’s.
Experience of dealer network and warranty systems is beneficial.
Technical product knowledge.
Understanding of quality topics' potential effect upon customers.
Strong self-motivation, ability to negotiate and convince others, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of the German language is beneficial.
Qualified to HNC / Degree level in a quality or engineering field or relevant experience.
Experience and understanding of the 7 tools of quality.
