Qualified Social Worker job– Rough Sleeping Prevention, Birmingham, paying MoC £28.40

Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable adults? We are seeking a dedicated and trauma-informed Qualified Social Worker to join our Adults Social Care team, working exclusively with citizens who are rough sleeping under the Rough Sleeping Prevention and Recovery Grant (RSPARG) initiative (formerly RSI).

Your new role

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary framework, delivering holistic and person-centred support to some of the city's most vulnerable individuals. You will play a vital role in increasing independence, improving wellbeing, and supporting recovery through trauma-informed social work practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of vulnerable adults experiencing rough sleeping, some with complex needs.
  • Conduct assessments and formulate support/enablement plans tailored to individual circumstances.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners to deliver integrated support.
  • Provide information and advocacy around services, welfare benefits, and entitlements.
  • Monitor and review support plans to ensure effectiveness and responsiveness.
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities in line with legal and policy frameworks.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with Directorate procedures.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of service delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Have a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/B.Sc. in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW) Social Work England registration
  • 2 year post-qualifying experience as a Senior Practitioner
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to travel as required.
