Financial Accountant - Up to £40,000 per annum - Hybrid working - Cardiff

Your new role

  • Collaborate with management and senior management on group reporting under IFRS.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements under FRS 101 and the Companies Act 2006.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on group reporting and management accounting requirements.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accurate posting of accounting journals.
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of internal control reports for parent entities.
  • Support key strategic projects, including the implementation of new accounting requirements.
  • Maintain accounting policies and procedures in compliance with IFRS and other relevant standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit files and provide support for financial statement disclosures.
  • Work closely with other finance teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Part-Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, or ACA), Qualified by Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is desirable but not a necessity.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with prudential requirements is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with a hands-on approach.
