Permanent Purchase Ledger job – Based in Dudley

Your new company


Hays are working with an organisation who are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, timely payments to suppliers, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


Your new role


  • Review, reconcile and file supplier statements
  • Action incoming purchase invoices
  • Review, code and process purchase invoices.
  • Deal with supplier accounts enquiries and queries.
  • Set up of new suppliers
  • Prepare/draft supplier payment runs
  • Ensure purchase ledgers are accurate to tie in with month-end reporting


What you'll need to succeed


  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger role

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Strong communication skills for dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
