Hays is delighted to present a new role on behalf of a private-sector client based in the Birmingham City Centre. This company is fast-moving, and therefore requires an experienced purchase ledger to join their finance function to support the team.Your new role
Some of the responsibilities of the role will include:- Manage the full processing of supplier invoices across multiple branches and currencies
- Preparing the weekly payment run in excess of £2m
- Resolving complex invoice discrepancies with a proactive view to reduce future queries
- Managing supplier returns and credit notes
- Reconciling supplier statements and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
What you'll need to succeed
An example of a successful application would include:- Experience within an Accounts Payable role, with good knowledge of three-way matching
- Ideally experience within the retail sector
- Ability to go into office 5 days a week
- A humble yet driven attitude, with an open-minded approach to learning
