About the Role
My client is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team of 5 based in St Helens. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong accounts payable experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities
- Process approximately 400 supplier invoices per month with accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier payments
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Maintain and update the purchase ledger in SAGE 200
- Assist with month-end procedures and reporting
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries
- Support the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in a purchase ledger/accounts payable role
- Proficiency in SAGE 200 is preferred but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to manage high volumes of data and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
