Purchase Ledger Clerk required in Trafford Park
Your new company
An engineering company based in Trafford Park, who are looking for a Purchase ledger clerk to join their team of 3 on a permanent basis. You will be working on a hybrid basis- 3 days in the office, 2 from home with free parking on site.
Your new role
On a day-to-day basis, you are responsible for:
- Matching, checking and coding invoices
- Making payments via BACS
- Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Data entry and filing of invoices
- Being the first point of contact for all relevant enquiries
- Resolving queries
- Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
- Reviewing systems and processes, making improvements where necessary
What you'll need to succeed
- Excellent numeracy and communication skills
- Solid team working skills
- Self-disciplined and efficient, with a flexible and proactive nature
- Confident with Excel and ideally experience using SAP or Oracle
- Ability to develop good supplier/colleague relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
- Ability to work to deadlines
