Are you an experienced Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding role in an Alternative Provision setting? We are recruiting for a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Willenhall that supports pupils who have faced challenges in mainstream education. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who need your support.

About the Centre
This specialist provision offers a safe, structured environment for pupils who have experienced barriers to learning. The focus is on re-engaging pupils with the National Curriculum, improving behaviour, and developing social and emotional skills to prepare them for future success.

About the Pupils

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Behavioural challenges linked to trauma or adverse experiences
  • Low confidence and self-esteem
  • Anxiety and attachment difficulties
These pupils thrive in smaller classes with personalised learning and strong relationships.

The Role
  • Full-time position starting January 2026 and continuing for the remainder of the academic year.
  • Deliver engaging lessons to small groups of primary-aged pupils.
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, resilience, and academic progress.
  • Work collaboratively with behaviour specialists and support staff.
Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching KS1 or KS2 pupils.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
  • Passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
Why This Role Is Perfect for You
If you are patient, adaptable, and committed to making a difference, this role offers the chance to transform pupils’ lives. You’ll see the impact of your work every day in a setting where relationships and progress matter most.
