Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for delivering high-quality construction projects? This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a flagship 75-bed care home development in Chester, working with a forward-thinking contractor known for excellence across the residential and healthcare sectors.


Your New Role
As Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the site, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance. You’ll coordinate site teams, manage subcontractors, and maintain strong relationships with clients and consultants throughout the build.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the care home construction site.

  • Develop and maintain project programmes using tools like Asta or MS Project.

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and quality benchmarks.

  • Manage subcontractor performance and oversee procurement and logistics.

  • Liaise with consultants, statutory bodies, and client representatives.

  • Monitor progress and implement recovery strategies where needed.

  • Drive high standards of site presentation and safety culture.

  • Support design coordination and contribute to construction planning.

    What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in UK main contracting, ideally on care homes or similar multi-room schemes.

  • Strong programming and sequencing skills.

  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities.

  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), First Aid, and Temporary Works Coordinator certifications.

  • Degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred).

  • Chartered status (MCIOB, RICS) is desirable but not essential.
