Project Manager / Project Director - Contract - New Product Introduction Programme

Hays are now looking for a Project Manager / Project Director for one of our local clients, the successful candidate must hav e prior experience managing New Product Introduction (NPI) programs within the energy industry.

-Remote working (some EMEA travel required)
-Circa £600 Per Day
-9 Month Contract

This position is central to the execution of a major strategic initiative, and the following qualifications are essential:


Role Requirements

Proven Track Record in Delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and complete complex initiatives on schedule, within defined scope, and under budget constraints.
  • Essential: Prior experience managing New Product Introduction (NPI) programs within the energy industry.
Advanced Stakeholder Engagement
  • Skilled in building strong relationships and influencing senior stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams.
  • Confident in navigating team dynamics, resolving disputes, and aligning expectations across a globally distributed team.
Technical Competence
  • Solid grasp of manufacturing workflows and industrial engineering principles.
  • Able to interpret technical inputs and convert them into executable project plans.
Professional Accreditation
  • Holds IPMA Level B certification or a comparable qualification.
  • Experienced in applying structured delivery methodologies including waterfall, agile, and hybrid models.
Commercial and Financial Insight
  • Deep understanding of procurement processes, contract frameworks, and financial governance.
  • Capable of overseeing budgets, forecasting, and conducting value assessments.
Leadership and Team Development
  • Inspires teams, fosters ownership, and builds a culture of trust and accountability.
  • Proven success in managing international matrix teams and driving performance.
