Hays is proud to be working in partnership with a forward-thinking local council to recruit an experienced Project Manager on an interim basis. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering meaningful change within the Early Intervention and Prevention team, supporting programmes that make a tangible difference in the lives of local residents.
The Role
As Interim Project Manager, you will support the People’s Transformation Workstream, helping to shape and implement a new staffing structure aligned with the future operating model for Connected Communities. Your work will be instrumental in delivering the Library and NAIS transformation, contributing to one of the programme’s largest cost-saving initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the staff restructure in line with the future delivery model.
- Contribute to the development of the Target Operating Model.
- Design and implement efficient processes to achieve critical cost savings as outlined in the Cabinet paper.
- Collaborate closely with HR to ensure a sustainable, cost-effective transformation that enhances long-term preventative outcomes.
- Develop and manage the project implementation plan for the redesigned service.
- Drive delivery at pace to realise multi-million-pound savings.
About You
You will be a seasoned project manager with:
- A strong track record of delivering complex transformation programmes in the public sector
- Experience in organisational design, service redesign, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
- The ability to work at pace and deliver results in a high-pressure environment.
