Senior Project Manager
A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager for a contract to start ASAP until the end of the year, based in Hatfield (Hybrid), Inside IR35.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex projects, including infrastructure implementations, cybersecurity initiatives, and new software solution rollouts.
This is a hands-on role where you will own the full project lifecycle—from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and successful delivery—while engaging with technical teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the full lifecycle of assigned projects, from initiation through to completion.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Manage risks, issues, and dependencies proactively.
Facilitate regular status reporting to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Ensure adherence to governance frameworks and compliance standards.
Manage and drive project execution across cross-functional teams (infrastructure, security, software).
Engage in stakeholder management and act as the main point of contact for project delivery.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years of experience in Project Management, with a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects.
Demonstrated experience in delivering infrastructure, security, and software implementation projects.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
Experience managing vendors, contractors, or third-party service providers.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and drive delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with enterprise-level project environments.
Preferred Certifications
PRINCE2, PMP, or PMI-ACP
ITIL (desirable)
Agile/Scrum certification (nice to have)
