*** Project Running Architect – Established Multidisciplinary - Belfast Office - £Competitive ***

Your new company

Hays Architecture & Design NI are proud to be working in partnership with one of Northern Ireland’s leading multi-disciplinary design practices, to recruit a
Project Architect for their Belfast office. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, innovative projects across the public and private sectors, this studio offers a collaborative and forward-thinking environment where design excellence and client satisfaction are at the heart of everything they do.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented architect to take the lead on a range of impactful projects and contribute to the continued success of a respected local firm.

Your new role

As a Project Architect for this thriving organisation, you will be responsible for managing the design and delivery of architectural projects from concept through to completion. Your duties will include leading project teams and coordinating with internal disciplines and external consultants, preparing and reviewing design proposals, technical drawings, and specifications. You'll also be expected to ensure output is fully compliant with planning, building regulations and client requirements / budgetary and timeline parameters. In a wider sense, you'll also be part of the management structure overseeing the support and development of junior staff, contributing to design reviews and quality assurance.

You will work across a variety of sectors including education, healthcare, civic buildings, and residential developments, with the opportunity to influence design outcomes and client relationships.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll have a recognised qualification in Architecture, and associate ARB / RIAI registration, with circa 3-5 years post Part III experience working in a collaborative design office. With proven experience of leading projects through various RIBA stages, you'll possess strong technical knowledge and proficiency in relevant software (Revit, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD or similar). Commanding strong communication and team leadership skills, you'll be comfortable chairing design meetings, interacting with senior colleagues, third parties and junior designers on live projects, using your creative and detail-orientated approach to achieve high-quality end results for your clients and teams. Experience of working on public sector or commercial projects would be a distinct advantage, but applications are welcome from those from a broad range of project delivery backgrounds.

What you'll get in return

This studio offers a highly competitive remuneration package and a supportive working environment of experienced colleagues and a well-structured network to fulfil your job. Professional growth is a central part of their ethos, and you will naturally have opportunities to lead high-profile construction schemes across Northern Ireland, the wider United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. With regular CPD events, the chance to avail of hybrid working options and a generous holiday entitlement / pension scheme, this could be your opportunity to take your career 'up a level', with a highly-recognisable name within the local sector.
