Your new role
This is a newly created role which has come about due to an exciting project to build a new venue. Reporting to the Finance Director, you'll undertake varied responsibilities including (but not limited to):
  • End-to-end management of CIS compliance (monthly returns, tax deductions/statements, verification, liaison with subcontractors)
  • VAT returns
  • Collaborating with the commercial and project managers to monitor project budgets, forecasts and costs
  • Bank account management, including cashflow, ensuring funding requirements are met
  • Utilising strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multiple internal teams including finance, legal, commercial, and external stakeholders, including HMRC, funders and contractors
  • Providing commentary, insights and recommendations
This role is initially being offered on a 2-3-year fixed-term contract basis, with the possibility of a long-term opportunity to head up a small team.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Prior recent and relevant experience working in a similar Project Accountant job
  • CIS experience is essential (end-to-end)
  • Self-starter
  • Mature and adaptable approach
  • Well-organised and proactive
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise across all levels, with both finance and non-finance personnel
  • Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship
