Your new company are a globally recognised retailer with a real passion for their people. A leading global retailer with a true global presence, operating in over 25 countries. Due to a number of recent acquisitions across Europe they're now needing to strengthen their finance function with a Project Finance Manager.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role is central to driving transformation within the finance function. You’ll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of financial projects—ranging from system upgrades and process enhancements to people-focused initiatives—delivering measurable improvements across the business. As a project lead, you’ll manage initiatives from concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations. You’ll collaborate across departments, plan and execute project roadmaps, and track benefits realisation to demonstrate value. A key part of your role will be identifying interdependencies and ensuring seamless integration with other ongoing programmes. You’ll be a proactive problem-solver with a strong grasp of financial operations and a passion for continuous improvement. Your ability to manage change, influence stakeholders, and deliver results will be critical to success in this role.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this exciting yet challenging role, you'll be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with relevant post-qualification experience. To succeed in this role, you’ll need a strong foundation in financial project management, with the ability to lead initiatives from planning through to delivery and benefit realisation. A solid understanding of finance operations and systems is essential, along with a keen eye for identifying opportunities to improve processes. You’ll be confident engaging with stakeholders across the business, managing expectations, and navigating complex interdependencies. Analytical thinking, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving will be key, as will your ability to drive change and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
