Programme Manager – Payments Controls Uplift
Overview
A global financial institution is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead a strategic initiative focused on enhancing Payments Controls across Markets Operations. This role will oversee complex cross‑functional delivery, strengthen the control framework, and support regulatory expectations across a fast‑moving global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate structured working groups across Operations, Technology, and Risk to ensure clear decision‑making, documentation, and follow‑up
- Produce high‑quality senior‑level presentations, reports, and programme updates
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective communication across multiple business areas
- Oversee programme delivery activities, partnering with Operations, Technology, ORM, and Audit teams to meet milestones
- Create and maintain key documentation including gap assessments, business requirements, testing materials, and closure/sustainability reports
- Work closely with control functions to ensure changes reduce risk and comply with internal delivery standards
About You
- Proven experience delivering large, complex transformation programmes within a global financial services environment
- Strong background in operations, risk management, or technology, within a regulated setting
- Experience working within Markets Risk & Control, with a solid understanding of control frameworks, regulatory expectations, and risk mitigation in market environments
- Skilled in managing senior stakeholders and facilitating cross‑functional decision‑making
- Confident communicator with the ability to simplify complex topics for executive audiences
- Highly organised, analytical, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment
- Programme management qualifications (Prince2, PMP, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma) are essential.
