Project Manager, 9-month contract, Belfast (3 days in office), up to £500 p/d
We’re currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join a global financial institution’s Middle Office Transformation Team in Belfast. This is a senior-level opportunity to lead multiple strategic initiatives across Fixed Income business lines including FX, Spread, Rates, and Treasury. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering regulatory, operational, and process improvement programmes, working closely with stakeholders across operations, technology, and the front office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong programme execution experience in financial services, looking to make a meaningful impact within a high-performing global team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of multiple global projects aligned to strategic and regulatory goals.
- Define and implement target operating models in collaboration with operations teams.
- Establish programme governance and manage stakeholder engagement across business and support functions.
- Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and issues to resolution.
- Document strategic business requirements and define measurable KPIs.
- Partner with technology teams to ensure delivery plans meet operational needs.
- Oversee testing workstreams and drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Deliver regular updates and presentations to senior stakeholders.
- Support the design and delivery of training materials for operational teams.
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience managing large-scale transformation programmes within financial services.
- Strong understanding of global markets, particularly Fixed Income.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Advanced project management and business analysis capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; JIRA experience is a plus.
- Ability to lead front-to-back process reviews and drive strategic change.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
