Requirement for a Production Planner in the Craigavon area
Your new company
You will be joining a highly respected, long established food manufacturer recognised for its quality, innovation and strong retailer partnerships. The company recently celebrated major success, winning Company of the Year and Employer of the Year at a local business awards in 2025, reflecting its strong performance, sustainability focus and people driven culture. It also secured three Gold Awards at the Blas na hÉireann Irish Food Awards, highlighting its commitment to delivering high quality, award winning products.
Your new role
In your new role as Production Planner, you will be responsible for creating and managing efficient daily, weekly and long‑term production schedules within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You will utilise the company’s ERP planning system to generate demand, plan capacity across work centres and ensure that production plans meet customer requirements while supporting stock level targets. Your duties will include developing accurate hourly, daily and weekly schedules, optimising labour utilisation and minimising changeover impact without compromising service levels. You will communicate production plans clearly across the organisation, ensure all products are scheduled to meet dispatch timelines and maintain forecasting files for stock items. You will also liaise with customers on product availability, highlight any shortages or excess stock and uphold company policies relating to product quality, food safety and operational standards. As part of the planning team, you will be expected to lead by example, support continuous improvement and carry out duties as required within the scope of the role.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will bring at least two years’ experience in a similar planning position and be confident using bespoke planning systems. You will have strong IT skills, solid communication abilities and the capacity to work effectively in a fast‑moving environment where priorities can shift quickly. A good standard of written and verbal English is essential. Experience within an FMCG environment and familiarity with ERP systems such as Dynamics AX would be highly beneficial, along with the ability to multitask, analyse data and respond proactively to operational challenges.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a competitive salary along with a comprehensive package of benefits designed to support your wellbeing, development and long‑term career. This includes a heavily subsidised canteen, an Employee of the Month award, refer‑a‑friend incentives, on‑site parking and access to health care benefits. You will also benefit from rewards for length of service, pension contributions, mental health and wellbeing support, Highfield certifications and a range of wellbeing initiatives. Clear career pathways ensure opportunities for progression as you grow within the organisation. You will work Tuesday to Saturday from 06:30 to 15:00, offering a structured and consistent working pattern that supports work–life balance.
