Your new role:
Based in Hitchin, you will be joining a well-known manufacturing company specialising in a wide range of equipment and materials used in several industries, from oil & gas, renewables, nuclear, aerospace, water and more!
Due to a change within the team, they are now seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their team near Letchworth!

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Oversee all production activities and ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.
- Allocate workloads to supervisors and monitor progress.
- Manage staff development and training requirements and update training plans accordingly
- Lead and support production staff, ensuring Health & Safety standards are always met.
- Take responsibility for project performance, including deadlines, costs, and technical quality
- Promote a continuous improvement working environment

Skills & Experience required:
- Previous experience in a similar production management role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong people management and leadership skills, ability to manage small & larger teams.
- A proactive approach to Health & Safety
- Experience within a CNC-based engineering/manufacturing environment and knowledge of CNC procedures – Sliding Head experience would be highly beneficial.
- Continuous improvement background-Qualifications such as Lean Six Sigma or similar is advantageous.
