Head of Procurement & Supply Chain

A growing organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to lead a critical function at a strategically important time. This is a high‑impact leadership role where you will shape procurement and supply chain strategy, strengthen supplier performance, and drive operational excellence across the business.
Your new role
You will lead the procurement and supply chain departments, overseeing strategy, performance, people management and continuous improvement. As a key member of the leadership team, you will:
- Develop and implement a full procurement and supply chain strategy
- Review and update processes in line with changing standards, regulations and environmental requirements
- Set KPIs for cost, quality, delivery and supplier performance
- Lead supplier negotiations across domestic and international markets
- Monitor and improve supplier capability, quality and delivery performance
- Support supplier evaluation, selection and onboarding
- Collaborate with internal departments to identify new suppliers and drive improvements
- Own materials planning, inventory strategy and availability of components
- Drive cost‑reduction initiatives and support strategic decision-making
- Analyse supply chain risks and improvement opportunities
- Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders
- Lead and coach procurement and supply chain teams, ensuring clear goals and effective performance management
- Support ERP system optimisation and strong data accuracy
This position blends strategic oversight with hands‑on involvement, ensuring continuity of supply, cost efficiency and process improvement. You will bring:
- A relevant degree and/or professional procurement qualification
- Extensive procurement and supply chain leadership experience in a leadership capacity
- Strong understanding of ERP systems
- Proven ability to lead high‑performing teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills
- A proactive, improvement‑focused mindset and the ability to operate both strategically and operationally
