Travel Category Manager, Hybrid in Kent, up to £67,000 + Bonus and Benefits

Your new company

A globally renowned company is looking to recruit a Travel Category Manager to join their vibrant and fast-paced business. This is not your typical Category Manager role. This is an incredibly exciting new role that requires creative thinking, working with niche and complex contracts that will utilise your negotiation, relationship building and stakeholder influencing skills!


Your new role

  • Leading and transforming the Travel category, conduct a full analysis to recommend and implement best practices

  • Utilising category insights and data analysis (spend data, tools and processes) to develop category strategies

  • Managing end-to-end procurement remit including RFx for pretender, tender documents, tender execution, contract award and contract management

  • Developing strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers


What you'll need to succeed

  • In-depth Procurement experience for Global Travel category mandatory (non-negotiable)

  • Experience in Global Travel category within large organisations

  • Solid understanding of travel category and what it encompasses i.e. travel management, hotels and accommodation, flights for global travel etc.

  • Ability to drive change, completely transform and lead the Travel category

  • Having the knowledge and clout to influence senior stakeholders
