Procurement Manager, Category Manager, Senior Buyer

Your new role
Available on a hybrid basis with just 1–2 days per week in the office, we are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to support the delivery of a procurement strategy across an Indirect category portfolio with notable projects across IT Procurement in particular. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will understand business requirements and deliver sourcing solutions that provide best value, efficiency and measurable commercial benefit. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, transformation‑led environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Partnering with stakeholders to understand medium and long‑term procurement needs
Leading end‑to‑end tendering activity from RFI/RFQ through to contract award
Developing supplier relationships that drive innovation, continuous improvement and best practice
Maximising return on investment across third‑party spend
Supporting delivery of projects to time and budget
Managing commercial risk through effective negotiation and robust contractual arrangements
What you’ll need to succeed
Proven experience as a Senior Buyer or Procurement Manager from either a commercial, public sector or non-for-profit sector background
Experience of managing a broad Indirect procurement portfolio with exposure to IT procurement is essential, either as part of a generalist remit or specialist.
Excellent commercial negotiation and contract management capability
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to assess cost, value and risk
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment
A proactive, resilient and “can‑do” attitude
