We’re seeking a technically minded Procurement Manager to lead and optimise the full end-to-end procurement lifecycle for a high-performing manufacturing business in Northern Lincolnshire.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, production-driven environment and understands the strategic and operational impact of procurement across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the entire procurement process – from demand planning and sourcing through to supplier performance and cost control.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and finance to align procurement with operational needs
- Develop and execute category strategies for direct and indirect spend
- Lead supplier selection, onboarding, and contract negotiation, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are met
- Monitor market trends, risks, and opportunities to drive continuous improvement and resilience
- Implement and optimise ERP/MRP systems and procurement analytics for better decision-making
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and internal governance
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in technical procurement within a manufacturing or engineering-led environment
- Strong understanding of materials planning, inventory control, and supply chain dynamics
- Skilled in data-driven decision-making, cost analysis, and supplier development
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- CIPS qualified or working towards (preferred)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable working on-site and engaging directly with production teams
