Your new company

We are currently supporting a utilities business to recruit a Procurement Business Partner into their group function, where you'll play a pivotal role in delivering end-to-end IT procurement, help to influence key stakeholders and manage strategic vendor relationships.

Your new role

As a Procurement Business Partner, you’ll be the go-to expert for the IT Category (c. £80m), providing strategic advice and hands-on support throughout the full procurement lifecycle. From developing business cases and sourcing strategies to contract negotiation and supplier management, you’ll ensure procurement activity aligns with business goals and delivers real value.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to plan and deliver procurement strategies.
  • Leading category management for high-value and high-risk goods and services.
  • Managing end-to-end sourcing and tendering processes in line with UK procurement law (PA23)
  • Driving supplier performance and contract compliance through robust management.
  • Leading improvement initiatives and sharing best practices across the procurement team.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong commercial acumen and a strategic mindset.
  • Proven experience in IT Procurement, with other indirect categories being a plus
  • Knowledge of PCR15 / PA23 would be highly beneficial
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • CIPS qualified or working towards
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and risk management.
