Procurement Officer/Administrator, North Staffordshire, £28000-£31000
Your new company
You will be working with an ever-growing manufacturing company that is looking to strengthen their procurement team. Based in North Staffordshire. You will join a busy team that supports the whole of the business.
Your new role
- You will work with internal stakeholders to ensure that procurement needs are met.
- To be involved with continuous improvement strategies of the business
- You will be able to competently analyse data related to supply chain risks.
- Have the ability to negotiate with suppliers to support business needs
- Have the ability to resolve issues including non-compliance.
- To have the prerequisite excel and reporting skills to run and report on varying cost reports, including invoice reporting, database updates and legislative reporting
What you'll need to succeed
- A data-driven approach to work
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in IT systems, with strong Excel skills
- Effective communication skills to engage with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Experience in supply chain and procurement
- Knowledge of sustainability metrics and methodologies, such as carbon foot printing and life cycle assessment.
- Minimum: Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a procurement, supply chain, or purchasing role is desirable but not essential.
