Locum Substance Misuse Nurse is required in London for a 6-month contract.
We are urgently looking for an experienced Locum Substance Misuse/Detox Nurse to join our client’s team in Bromley. If you are interested, please read the details below:
Location: Bromley, South London.
Hours: Mon to Fri 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM, occasionally on Tuesdays from 12:30 to 8pm.
Dates: ASAP 6 months (Temporary Contract will be reviewed after 6 months)
Pay Rate: £33/hr (PAYE) or £37/hr (Umbrella)
Your new role
To undertake Health and Wellbeing assessments
To undertake Nurse Alcohol Assessments and determine safe detoxification
To assist in the titration process for opioid users
To provide screening for BBV, through dry blood spot testing
Provide Hepatitis A and or B vaccinations when indicated.
To refer to specialist inpatient services
To offer wound care assessment and basic wound dressing
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Current NMC registration
Previous experience in a similar role at a Drug Treatment service, forensics, prison or other similar background
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
