Your new company
Working in the education sector, this company will provide you with amazing benefits when working for their in-house building services team.
Your new role
As a principal engineer, you will be responsible for a large estate reporting to the head of building services and engineering. You will be based in central Manchester and will be responsible for budgets and all mechanical systems.- Ensure all statutory compliance and legal provisions
- Operate within the annual budget
- Take full responsibility for all the mechanical systems
- Full compliance with statutory requirements, in line with SFG20
- Provide specialist advice and guidance on new Mechanical Pressure Systems and Gas plant investments
What you'll need to succeed
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Ability to manage contractors
- Proficiency in working with standard Office IT, Microsoft Word, Access and Excel
- Understanding of Maintenance Management Systems, e.g. PLANON. Ability to use specialist software, e.g. AutoCAD
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of building services systems, specifically relating to Mechanical and Gas Engineering, including the Building Regulations and legislation governing its operation and maintenance.
- Degree, or equivalent, in a Mechanical Engineering related discipline
