Teaching Assistant – SEMH Provision | September Start | Permanent Opportunity

We are working in partnership with a highly regarded SEMH provision who are seeking a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant in this specialist setting, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs
Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to support individual learning plans
Use de-escalation strategies and trauma-informed approaches to manage behaviour positively
✅ Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEN, or in alternative provisions
Calm, patient, and resilient with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, or similar) are desirable but not essential.
