Your new school

A warm and welcoming primary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 team. The school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Your new role

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Teaching Assistant to provide general classroom support in a Year 3 class, working closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging and accessible learning experiences. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting whole-class learning and small group activities

  • Assisting with classroom preparation and behaviour management

  • Helping to create a positive, focused, and supportive learning environment

  • Providing targeted support where needed to ensure pupil progress


This role is full-time, 5 days per week, and will continue until February half-term, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Recent experience supporting children in a primary school setting (Year 3 or KS2 desirable)
  • A proactive, positive, patient, and flexible approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
