- Job Title: Primary Teacher (SEN)
- Location: Leicester City Centre.
- Contact: Full-time, Temporary.
- Salary: £150 - £200 per day.
- Start Date: 3rd September 2024.
The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and experienced Primary School Teacher to join our ever-expanding team of excellent teachers – to support in teaching some of our students with SEMH needs. This is a full-time position with comprehensive teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking.
We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and experienced Primary School Teacher to join our ever-expanding team of excellent teachers – to support in teaching some of our students with SEMH needs. This is a full-time position with comprehensive teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the needs of each child with SEN.
- Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils.
- Mark pupils’ work and provide constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Implement different behaviour strategies to engage students and manage classroom dynamics.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to ensure all students’ needs are met.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience as a SEN teacher in a primary school setting.
- Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and the ability to plan differentiated work.
- A patient and resilient personality with a flexible approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Additional training or qualifications in SEMH, behaviour management, or special education.
- Experience working in a similar setting.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in supporting students with SEMH needs.
