Your new role

As a Year 3 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum, ensuring all pupils are supported to reach their full potential. You will play a key role in transitioning pupils from KS1 to KS2, fostering confidence, independence, and a love of learning. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to a Year 3 class.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and behaviour for learning
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community


What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 3 experience desirable but not essential)
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A commitment to raising standards and achieving the best outcomes for pupils
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
