We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Gloucester. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning profiles.
- Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and support staff.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies to meet evolving needs.
- Work closely with families, external professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Proven experience working with children with SEN.
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and the SEND Code of Practice.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
- A nurturing, resilient, and reflective approach to teaching.
