Your new school

Hays Education are working with a well‑established primary school near Wednesbury who are seeking a dedicated and motivated Primary Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner who is passionate about raising standards and delivering high‑quality teaching and learning.

Your new role

This is a full-time, temporary role starting September 2026 to cover leave within the team. This will initially be in KS2 but could change based on your preference. You will be paid to scale (unfortunately, the school is not able to support ECTs).

You will:

  • Set high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  • Plan and deliver well‑structured, engaging lessons that build on prior learning
  • Promote excellent progress and outcomes for all learners
  • Demonstrate strong subject and curriculum knowledge
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities and backgrounds
  • Use assessment effectively to inform planning, track progress and provide meaningful feedback
  • Manage behaviour confidently to ensure a safe and positive learning environment
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of an engaging curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents
  • Play an active role in the wider life and ethos of the school

What you'll need to succeed

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience in primary education (no ECTs)
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Professional, reflective and eager to develop their practice
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • Confident in delivering high standards of teaching and behaviour management
  • Passionate about contributing to whole‑school improvement
