Your new company
You will be working at HM Prison Long Lartin for a facilities management and maintenance company. This company ensures that all maintenance projects throughout the prison are completed to a high standard.
Your new role
Your new job will be temporary to permanent based on performance. You will be carrying out planned and reactive maintenance. Some of the responsibilities will include installing and maintaining heating systems, repairing sanitation systems, fitting appliances and emergency repairs. All tools and materials will be provided, and you could be asked to work 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 weekends, but the majority will be Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00. Working weekends is paid at over times rates.
What you'll need to succeed
Relevant up-to-date Plumbing qualifications required. You will need to be able to pass an enhanced vetting procedure to be considered for this role.
What you'll get in return
You will be paid £18 per hour, plus any overtime rates if you work weekends. This will be paid on a weekly basis. If your successful in the role there may be opportunities to continue with this role either in the same or a different establishment.
