Personal Tax Senior role within well-established, supportive independent Worcestershire firm

Your new company

A new opportunity for a Personal Tax Senior has been created to join a reputable independent firm in the heart of Worcestershire. Due to ongoing growth and strategic team planning, this supportive accountancy practice is looking for someone who is ATT qualified and has great personal tax knowledge and experience to work with clients on both tax compliance and planning work.

Your new role

As part of a well-structured tax team, you'll manage your client portfolio, which will be varied and may include wealthy individuals, partnerships, property owners, trusts etc. You'll ensure clients' tax returns are submitted in a timely manner and will support them with matters such as inheritance tax planning and transitioning to MTD as well as providing advice on a range of matters. In doing so, you'll develop excellent client relationships and benefit from a varied role within a cohesive working environment.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have gained tax experience within an accountancy practice – ideally dealing with a varied client base, gaining strong personal tax knowledge and developing excellent client skills. You'll be a great communicator and will be able to manage your workload effectively to meet deadlines and work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent service levels to your clients. ATT qualifications (or equivalent) would be preferred – even better if you have started studying towards CTA, but this is not essential – personal tax knowledge is key.

What you'll get in return

If you're looking to join an independent firm with a warm and welcoming culture, this could be the ideal opportunity for you to continue your tax career within a supportive environment. You'll benefit from flexible working arrangements and some hybrid working post-probation period (c. 2 days per week). Work-life balance and staff well-being are given clear importance by the senior team and this is a sociable firm with regular staff events. Ongoing CPD is supported and if you wish to progress with professional study towards CTA or another relevant qualification, this will be supported.
