Executive Assistant required for temporary job in Sheffield 2-3 months

Hays are looking for a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to join a small but dynamic Executive Office team in Sheffield. This is a
temporary opportunity with an immediate start, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

KEY VACANCY INFORMATION
Immediate start in July / August 2025
This role is initially temporary for 2-3 months (it could become a permanent role subject to the discretion of the company).
Due to the urgent requirements of the role the successful applicant must be available to start temporary work immediately and not be on notice.
£29000 salary guide
Sheffield-based, 3 days in office, 2 days working from (Successful applicants will be local to the area)
Full-time Monday to Friday 37 hours a week

Your new role

As Executive Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting senior leadership , you will manage diaries, coordinate meetings, liaise with stakeholders, and help deliver high-quality administrative support across the board. The successful applicant will ideally have recent and relevant experience of holding a similar role previously. Duties of the role will include:

  • Proactively manage diaries, meetings, and workloads for Executive and Assistant Directors
  • Coordinate and support Board and meetings, including agenda setting, minute-taking
  • Act as a first point of contact for Board members and manage the Board inbox
  • Prepare and publish reports, presentations, and correspondence
  • Support corporate events, away days, and conferences
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with governance protocols
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless support across the Executive Office

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a similar Executive Assistant/ PA role
  • Strong diary and inbox management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Experience in minute-taking and coordinating high-level meetings
  • A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
