This is a long-term job to provide the full range of secretarial and administrative support to the Principal

Your new role

Will consist of;

  • Provides secretarial and administrative support to the Principal.
  • Manages the Principal’s diary.
  • Maintains office systems and processes.
  • Arranges travel and organises corporate events.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships at all levels.
  • Manages workload amidst conflicting demands and busy periods.
  • Anticipates needs before they arise.
  • Handles confidential or sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Provides administrative assistance related to estates, support staff, HR, and the Local Governing Body.
  • Serves as the Educational Visits Coordinator with support from the Business & Operations Manager.
  • Oversees administrators on site
  • Ensures an efficient and effective reception and administration service.


What you'll need to succeed


  • Demonstrable experience in an administration/executive assistant/PA role in a highly pressurised environment requiring tact, judgement and discretion in handling internal and external contacts.
  • Experience of diary management/researching and booking of travel and accommodation.
  • Experience of successfully working with senior management.
  • Ability to use multiple sources of information to research and present material clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to organise meetings, training & information sessions for Governors.
  • Ability to devise and implement processes and procedures for organisational and record-keeping purposes.
  • Commitment to supporting / coordinating marketing, recruitment and employer events / evenings.
  • Ability to use IT including word processing, spread sheets, databases and the internet.


This is a full time position that based in a Secondary and will require an Enhanced DBS.

Monday to Friday. 37 hours Per Week.
