Personal Assistant Job Available at Secondary School in Salford

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support to the Associate Principal and wider leadership team. This is a key role within the Academy, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering a professional, efficient service across all areas of administration and stakeholder engagement.

Location: Salford
Rate: £17/hour - £20/hour DOE
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)
Contract: Temporary, all year round (26 days holiday + bank holidays, negotiable)
Start Date: ASAP

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Comprehensive diary management for the Associate Principal
  • Scheduling meetings, travel, and accommodation arrangements
  • Minute-taking and timely distribution for SLT, HOD, HOY, and staff meetings
  • Managing emails and correspondence on behalf of the Principal
  • Preparing parental letters to Academy standards
  • Coordinating Governor recruitment and managing Governor paperwork
  • Liaising with parents, stakeholders, governors, and external organisations
  • Organising hospitality for guests and whole-school events
  • Supporting reception and booking meeting/conference rooms
  • Handling initial complaints under the Principal’s direction
  • Administration for school achievement events, CPD processes, and wellbeing programmes
  • Assisting with whole-school rewards and event organisation

Key Skills/Experience:
  • Strong organisational, administrative and time-management skills (preferably within education)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
