Your new company
Hays are working with a fantastic organisation in Chesterfield who are keen to appoint a Senior Pensions Administrator.
This is a newly created vacancy due to growth in the organisation.
Your new role
This will be a busy role suited to a candidate with excellent pensions administration knowledge and experience. The successful candidate will have excellent experience and knowledge of DB pensions in particular.
This role is based in office 3 days a week and offers 2 days hybrid working.
The main purpose of the role will be to provide a professional service for members, you will provide a high level of pensions knowledge in post and support the wider team monitoring the work of Pensions Admin team.
Duties of the role will include;
- Supporting the Operations Manager to make sure that work is well planned and organised in the team
- Work with Pensions Administrators to support and monitor workloads, validating data and supporting with cases as required
- Provide technical knowledge support to the team
- Authorise amendments, data updates and member record amendments
- Support with continuous improvement actions within the department
- Advise and liaise with external organisations / clients regarding scheme member benefit entitlements
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of admin processes , pensions scheme rules and proceedures
What you'll need to succeed
You will need pensions administration experience ideally as a senior pensions administrator
You will have a strong working knowledge of DB pensions
You will have excellent numerical skills and be an effective communicator
You have a good working knowledge of scheme rules, HMRC rules and regulations
You will be able to work well developing staff and providing guidance
Knowledge of MS Office required
