Teacher of Physical Education (PE) - Secondary Schools - London - Hays Education

Your new company

Hays Education is working in partnership with a range of secondary schools across London to recruit enthusiastic and committed Teachers of Physical Education for current and forthcoming roles.
We are keen to hear from qualified PE teachers who are passionate about promoting physical activity, teamwork and wellbeing, and who can deliver engaging, high‑quality PE lessons across the secondary age range.

Your new role

As a Teacher of PE, you will:
  • Deliver high‑quality Physical Education lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable)
  • Plan, prepare and assess engaging lessons that promote participation and progress
  • Encourage positive attitudes towards physical activity, health and wellbeing
  • Contribute to extracurricular sports activities and school competitions where required
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Work collaboratively within a dynamic and supportive department

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for teachers who:
  • Hold QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
  • Have experience teaching PE in a UK secondary school setting
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Physical Education
  • Are confident, organised and able to motivate students of all abilities
  • Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • Are flexible and keen to work across London schools
