Hays Education are looking to recruit enthusiastic and committed teachers to work on a supply basis across schools in Wigan and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for ECTs to gain valuable classroom experience for the remainder of the academic year, whilst also positioning yourself for long-term or permanent roles from September. We are also welcoming applications from experienced teachers seeking both short-term and long-term opportunities.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons across your subject or key stage
- Adapt quickly to different school environments
- Maintain strong classroom and behaviour management
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Opportunities available for day-to-day, short-term, and long-term placements
What We’re Looking For
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A passion for teaching and supporting student progress
- Strong classroom management skills
- Flexibility and a positive attitude
For ECTs:
- Completion (or near completion) of your teacher training
- A willingness to gain experience across different schools and settings
For Experienced Teachers:
- Proven teaching experience within UK schools
- Ability to quickly adapt to new environments
