Female Physical Education (PE) Teacher

Location: Wigan

Hays Education is delighted to be working in partnership with a well‑regarded secondary school in Wigan to recruit a Female Teacher of Physical Education for a permanent position starting in September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated PE teacher—either an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced practitioner—to join a supportive, inclusive and forward‑thinking PE department. The school places a strong emphasis on participation, wellbeing and student development, supported by excellent facilities and a collaborative staff culture.

Your new role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, promoting physical confidence, teamwork and healthy lifestyles. The role includes planning engaging and inclusive lessons, assessing pupil progress and contributing positively to extracurricular sport and the wider school community.
