Your new role
Payroll Specialist, office-based working 37 hours per week on a 12-month FTC. More flexibility may become available once familiar with colleagues and duties.
What you'll need to succeed
For the Payroll Specialist role, the candidate will be required to undertake the following:
- Run payroll for the business on a weekly/monthly basis, as required
- Maintain the payroll processing system
- Manage payroll queries via email and telephone
- Payroll review covering all employees
- Management reporting on payroll
- P45/60 requirements
- Pension requirements
- Maternity/Paternity schedules and payments, along with sick pay calculations
- Discrepancy investigation
Should you have had previous exposure to Access (Payroll System) this would be of great benefit, but not critical to requirements.
Previous education sector experience is desired by the client.

What you'll get in return
In return for undertaking this role, the starting salary is between £29,269 and £31,364pa depending on experience. There is a generous holiday allowance and benefits package on offer.
The role is 5 days a week in the office and all year round, but should you have a preference for term-time only plus 2 weeks or even school hours working due to other commitments, these will be considered, but this is not a part-time role. What you need to do now
