Your new role
- Processing payroll payments, statutory deductions and third-party payments.
- Supporting PAYE compliance activities, including RTI submissions and year-end processes.
- Responding to payroll and pension payroll enquiries, providing a high level of customer service.
- Working closely with HR, Finance and wider business teams to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Assisting with payroll projects, system upgrades, process improvements and new payroll implementations.
- Supporting payroll controls, reconciliations and compliance activities.
- Investigating and resolving payroll queries and escalating technical issues when required.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll efficiency and service delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong end-to-end payroll experience.
- Strong working knowledge of current UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
- Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience handling complex payroll queries and maintaining high levels of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- A proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
